REBORN DOLL ESSENTIALS
When it comes to reborn doll making after 5 years i have learnt so much ,and i still continue to learn .
With each baby a new technique is tried ,I love to push the boundaries when it comes to detail .
I prefer to look at a blank kit and think "How am i going to bring this doll to life.
Once i have chosen a kit i will then decide the age of the baby ,for example Premature ,newborn,days ,weeks or months old Then i will decide what will essentially make this baby stand out from the crowd.
If i am creating a prototype i will usually add a tummy plate as these really do look amazing especially on the full limb kits , I have recently reborn a caroline kit by Tina Kewy *on ebay shortly*
and she looked very preemie to me so to a tummy plate i have added an Umbilical Cord
These are magnetic and hand sculpted by me I am currently selling them on ebay at present made to order.
If you are going to sell your creations then i urge you too make sure your baby is to a standard that you would expect to receive yourself ,Nothing upsets me more than hearing that someone has been sold a doll only to be heart broken because the "artist" has thrown a kit together with no knowledge of how wonderful these babies can actually be just to earn a quick buck !
Another important part of Reborn Art is Smell I absolutely love the baby powder fragrance and all the clothes i send the baby in are brand new with that new smell ,You do not want your baby going into someone elses home smelling of chip fat or wet dog it is not acceptable!
A serious artist will always take the new mum into consideration from the minute they fall in love with a kit .....
